The Supports We Provide, and How to Tell Them Apart
Every support we provide, grouped so you can find yours. If you are not sure what it is called, start with what is happening.
Not sure which one? That is what the call is for.

Support is easier to choose when someone tells you plainly what each one actually involves.
Everyday help, or higher clinical needs?
Most enquiries land clearly on one side of that line. Start with whichever sounds like yours.

Everyday support at home and in the community
Practical help with daily living, personal care and household tasks, for the parts of the week where having someone do it with you or for you is what is needed.

High intensity support and community nursing
Support for higher clinical needs at home: high intensity daily personal activities and community nursing, with preparation done for you specifically.
Daily Living & SIL
The supports that hold a home together. A shower and breakfast before work, a hand with the washing, workers in the house day to day, and the clinical routines that need someone trained for them. If most of the help you need happens at your address, start in this group.
Assistance with Daily Life
Help with personal care and daily routines, done with you or for you rather than teaching you to do it alone.
Supported Independent Living
Support workers in the home you share or the one you have to yourself, with rosters built around how you live.
High Intensity Support
The daily personal activities that need specifically trained workers, such as complex bowel care, enteral feeding support and tracheostomy support.
Household Tasks
Cleaning, laundry, meal prep and shopping: the jobs around the house rather than the care of the person.
Health & Clinical
Clinical care that comes to you. A nurse at the kitchen table instead of a waiting room, and trained workers carrying out the behaviour support plan a practitioner has written. A smaller group, with more preparation behind it.
Respite & Transport
The supports that move you, for a night or for an afternoon. A short stay somewhere with support so everyone gets a proper break, and a lift that gets you to the appointment, the shops or the game.
Community & Skills
Life outside the front door. Getting out and taking part, doing things alongside other people, and building the skills that make more of it possible on your own. The afternoon that does not need a purpose lives here too.
Participate in Community
One-to-one support to get out and take part in social, recreational and community life, with a worker alongside you rather than building skills for later.
Group & Centre Activities
Shared activities with other participants, where support is shared across the group rather than one worker to one person.
Development of Life Skills
Support to build the practical skills of everyday life, so that over time you can do more of it on your own.
Innovative Community Participation
Newer approaches to building skills and independence in the community, for when the usual formats have not fit.
Where these sit in an NDIS plan
Most of the supports on this page sit in the part of a plan the NDIS calls core, which covers everyday help: personal care, household tasks, getting out and about, short stays. Skill-building supports like development of life skills usually sit in capacity building instead, which is set aside for building independence over time.
Every plan is different, so nothing here is a promise about your funding. Check with your support coordinator or plan manager, or call us on 1300 544 958 and we will help you make sense of it.
If you are not sure which one is yours
You do not have to arrive knowing the right name. Describe the week as it actually is, the part that is hard and the part you want back, and we will tell you which support fits. If you are not sure which fits, call us and we will help you work it out.
For support coordinators: we hold Assist Personal Activities High, Community Nursing Care and Supported Independent Living, among others. Send us a suburb, a support type and the plan status, and we will come back on capacity.
Questions about our NDIS services
Can I use more than one of these supports at once?
Yes, and most people do. A plan might fund help at home, community participation and a short stay in the same year. One provider covering several supports means one agreement, one phone number and workers who talk to each other.
Do you provide therapy, like occupational therapy or speech therapy?
No, we provide support work rather than allied health. Where a therapist is already involved, our workers can support you to practise what they have recommended in everyday situations, which is support work rather than therapy. If therapy is what you need, we will say so and point you somewhere useful.
Which of these supports does my plan cover?
Your plan lists what it funds, and your support coordinator or plan manager can confirm it in minutes. If you would rather talk it through, call us on 1300 544 958 and we will help you make sense of it, though nothing on this page is a promise about your funding.
Can I move just one support to you and keep my other providers?
Yes. Nothing in the NDIS requires one provider for everything, and plenty of people use different providers for different supports. Some move one support across, see how it goes, and decide from there. Nobody is locked into anything.
What do NDIS services cost?
As a registered provider we work within the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, which cap what can be charged for each support. Exact prices are set out in your service agreement before any support starts, so there are no surprises after the fact.
Which areas do you provide these services in?
Logan, Ipswich, Brisbane’s southside and Brisbane’s bayside suburbs. Every support on this page is available across all four, subject to fit and staffing, and the service areas page holds every suburb.
Still have a question?
Call our local team on 1300 544 958. We will answer it plainly, even if the answer is that we are not the right fit.
Start with a simple conversation
